Frequently asked questions

What ages is Mathy for? Mathy is designed for ages 4 to 9, covering counting, shapes, addition, subtraction, times tables, fractions and more. Kids up to 10 and beyond can enjoy the later topics.

Is Mathy free? Are there ads or in-app purchases? Mathy is free, with no ads and no in-app purchases.

Do we need an internet connection? No. Mathy works fully offline.

Do I need to create an account? No. There is no account or sign-up.

Where is my child's progress saved? Only on your device. Mathy does not use cloud sync, so progress is not shared between devices. If you delete the app or erase the device, progress is lost.

How do I reset progress or change settings? Open the Me tab and tap Settings. A grown-up answers a quick multiplication question, then can change sound and haptics, the daily goal and the profile, or reset progress.

How does tracing work? In the Draw tab, kids trace numbers and math symbols with a finger. Mathy checks the shape on the device.

The app isn't working correctly. What should I try?

1. Close the app completely and reopen it.
2. Check the app store for an update.
3. Restart your device.
4. If it still doesn't work, email us with the details above.
